Composition

Each 10 gram syringe contains:

Kanamycin acid sulfate           100000            IU

Cloxacin (Benzathin)               500                  mg

Panicillin G Procaine               300000            IU

Oil base up to                          10                    gr

Product Information

Penicillin is bactericidal agent that prevents bacterial growth.  Antibacterial activity of penicillin is the reproduction of bacteria. Penicillin is effective against Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria.

Kanamycin is an aminoglycoside bacteriocidal antibiotic that effects at the 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. Kanamycin is active against Gram negative organisms.
Cloxacillin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic from betalactam group that has activity against the following major pathogens associated with mastitis; Penicillin resistant and sensitive Staphylococcus spp., Micrococcus spp., Streptococcus agalactiae, Corynebacterium spp.

 

Indications
Treatment or prevention of mastitis occurring in the dry period or when infection is due to staphylococcus spp., streptococcus spp., and e. coli.

 

Dosage and Administration

For intramammary administration only

The contents of one syringe should be infused into each quarter via the teat canal immediately after milking at 12 hour intervals for four consecutive milking. Before infusion, the teat should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and care should be taken to avoid contamination of the injector nozzle.

After infusion, massage the contents up into the udder.

 

Precautions

• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to penicillin or other substances of the betalactam group.
• Do not use in lactating cows.

 

Withdrawal time:

Milk 4 days and meat 28 days

 

Storage:

Store below 25^°C and protect from light & freezing.
